Yes, this is the birth all reality tv fans looked forward to. For months they critiscised Kim's ever-expanding weight, laughed at Kanye walking into a sign and mocked the longeivity of this couple. But the day arrived one-month early to be exact and we all thought we would finally get a name as well as a glimpse of the baby.
How wrong we were. Unlike most celebrities Kim chose to do the ''Stephen Moyer & Anna Paquin thing'' by not revealing what the babies name was as soon as they had it. I personally do not get this decision. It reminds me of the first time Jessica Simpson was pregnant and everyone knew it but she decided to wait forever to announce she was pregnant. And what happened when she announced she was pregnant...no one cared because we already knew! It was actually quite surprising how long Kanye and Kim took to announce their daughter's name. Given the fact the family are known for being in the spotlight and have shared pretty much every detail of their lives with the world. Remember when Kourtney Kardashian gave birth on camera? Twice! And when Khloe and Lamar were on that sex swing? But Kim has chosen to be way more quiet which is most likely due to the influence of Kanye being in her life. It took approximately 6 days to announce their daughters name. But unlike the Jessica Simpson treatment of no one caring, when Kim and Kanye announced their baby's name the media went into a frenzy!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had decided to name their daughter, North West. Like the rest of the world I am questioning why they decided to name their daughter after a direction? What made matters worse about this baby name is that they are going to call her ''Nori'' for short! Not Nora! Not Nor! But Nori. The name Nori sounds kind of fishy to me. I think it's cause everytime I think of the name Dori from Finding Nemo pops into my head, but lets get back to this ''unique'' name.
Originality: 10/10
Stupidity: 10/10
Chances of child getting teased: 9/10
North West seems like the kind of name her parents are gonna regret in a week's time. I'm still in shock anyone would name their kid after a direction! I think the best part about them naming their kid this is the jokes and comparisonds that followed after the announcement of the name. With my favourites being ''it's like Brad Pitt calling his kid Arm Pitt'' or ''It's like Liam Payne calling his kid Period Payne''.
I do have to give them props though for having the guts to name their daughter something that they most likely knew would come under scrutiny.
I really do hope one day Kim and Kanye will see the error of their ways in naming their baby this proposterous name. If they do choose to have another kid I would suggest they pick a name that actually exists in a baby name book! and not on a compass!

Music Moments Episode 9: Cruel Intentions
All in all I would say that Cruel Intentions is just a ''good'' film. I like the plot and I like the characters. But the last seven minutes of the film are epic! The music, the acting and the overall look of the scene is great and I think it helps to make the film just that much better. There's nothing I like more than a music montage at the end of a film and I think Cruel Intentions has one of the best. Like it's right up there with ''The Breakfast Club''.
Just to point out, another thing I love about Cruel Intentions is the chemistry the cast have! and to be honest the cast are stellar. I mean you've got Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe who are falling in love on and off screen. Sarah Michelle Gellar aka Buffy Summers playing a bitch. And lets not forget Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson) and Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius) having secret sex with each other. EPIC!
But let's get back to this ending scene shall we... First it uses the song which basically defined the 90s! The music video for the song is already awsome but I think if they'd used the cruel intentions ending montage it would have been just as good.
Name of Film: Cruel Intentions
Song Featured: Bittersweet Symphony
Artist: The Verve
Favourite Lyrics: 'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life. Try to make ends meet, you're a slave to money then you die
Favourite Moment: When Sarah Michelle Gellar opens the doors to the courtyard and the music reaches it's loudest point definitely adds drama to the scene. and let's not forget the picture of Sebastian smirking, not only is it gorgeous but it feels like he's laughing at her situation.
But the most epic part of this music moment is Reese Witherspoon driving Sebastian's car with the New York City skyline in the background. Reese epitomises badass in this scene and I think every girl even guy who's seen the film or even the clip wants to be ''Annette Hargrove''.
I also have to point out how beautiful the clips were of Sebastian and Annette's brief but wonderful relationship. They were perfect together on screen and in real life. It really is a shame some things don't work out.

The Trouble With: Donna Martin
If I'm being honest I would say that most females on Beverly Hills 90210 have annoyed me at one point or another. With the exception of Kelly and Valerie. I love these two because I'm a lover of What I Like About You and Saved By The Bell. Brenda and her acting, Andrea and her problems with people pronouncing her name ''it's ohhndrea'', Clare with her snarky attitude, but no one annoyed me more than Donna Martin.
I'll start with the world-famous ''Donna Martin Graduates''. I love this saying I throw it into any conversation where it fits. I chant it when good things happen, I vow to one day purchase the t-shirt. But really come on, all of that rucus for a student. Especially Donna Martin. It was her own fault that she got drunk at the prom and passed out so she should have been made to suffer the consequences. But oh no the whole school rallies round to help Donna graduate with the rest of the class because ''she deserves it''. News flash West Beverly Class of 93, she doesn't. Especially seeing as she would have still graduated just in August instead of June. So I'm all for the saying, but Donna Martin did not deserve to graduate.
My next problem comes from her ever changing hairstyles and image come to think of it. I get that it was the 90s and people were trying out new looks but her hair seemed to get worse as the seasons went on. From Season 1-3 her hair was normal. Long, blonde and straight. Though it looked seriously damaged! So during Season 4 she decided to cut it. What a big mistake that was. It did a good job in accentuating her rather large facial features. Then it got worse. At the beginning of Season 5 she dyed it platinum blonde and seemed to have bought herself a pair of boobs and what looked like a new pair of cheekbones. From then on her hair hair just got shorter and shorter and her looks got scarier and scarier. I read in an article that Tori Spelling says her kids don't even recognise her when she's playing Donna Martin. I think that's a sign you've had too much surgery, love. and it may be time to stop. Just look at the changes!
And now for 2013 Tori....
Now onto the topic of nepotism. The executive producer of the show is Aaron Spelling. Tori Spelling plays Donna Martin. Notice a pattern? Yep, because Aaron is in fact Tori's father. This is made apparent when you see Tori Spelling's lack of acting skills. and realise that it is pretty clear that she only got the part because her father was behind the whole show.
Another thing. Her countless boyfriends. She went from David, to Griffin, to Ray, to Joe, to David again and then that fireman? This is all in the space of a few years and someone who was made out to be this holier-than-thou virgin. Yet she wore the most revealing outfits known to man. Some would call her a tease, I would just call her an idiot.
Usually I like the nice characters. The ones who provide comic relief or warm tender moments of friendship. But every so often you come across the ones who lack substance and depth. No one does this better than Donna Martin. Every single person she meets she's so nice to. and everyone loves her as a person and she never has conflict with anyone and she's always the peacemaker. And everyone thinks she's so beautiful. Well you know what if this was the real world Donna Martin would be treated like gum on the bottom of someone's shoe. Her never-ending perky attitude would get her most likely slapped by the one's closest to her. People would constantly diss her on her looks. I'm not saying I would but people in this world today are fickle!
I recently watched an episode where aside from displaying some very wooden acting, she decided to save a deer from a bush fire that was miles away. Not only this but she didn't ask anyone for help and didn't tell anyone where she was going. She fell down a hill to save an animal from it's natural habitat. What a dumb character. Then she asked a deer to scream for help? yep she really did! Plus it was her own fault she was there in the first place. Oh and what does she get in return for being so stupid? She was saved by a hot fireman, that's right. and to top it all off she gets on the 11 o clock news.
So there you have it guys, the reasons I hate Donna Martin and feel she shouldn't have graduated! (Even though I love to chant ''Donna Martin Graduates!''

The Trouble With: Brooke Davis
People are probably gonna hate me for this blog post but I have to admit I have a problem with Brooke Davis.
Yes, without a doubt she had the biggest fanbase on the show and for a while she was definitely the most fun character on the show. But during I think it was the 6th season I started to notice significant changes in Brooke's character. She become less fun and more serious and in her case serious meant boring. I'm not sure if this was down to her new love interest Julian but Brooke just didn't seem herself anymore. In the 8th season this change was even more prominent. But at season 9 woah it was like Brooke Davis no longer existed. It was like Sophia Bush was playing Sophia Bush and Brooke Davis was a distant memory. and you know what it kind of made me dislike Brooke. And Season 9 was basically One ''Brooke'' Hill.
Her storylines were also dull after the high school years. I mean her storyline with Baby Angie was sweet but it was a bit of a waste of time. I mean, yes she wanted a child but it was basically a ploy to get her closer to Lucas so she could be one of the possible women he called in the series finale.
I also feel that Sophia Bush's acting skills as Brooke were very limited and I feel that her acting was praised by fans but then brilliant actresses like Bethany Joy Lenz who played Haley were overlooked. I mean Brooke squeezing tears out everytime she's about to cry hardly deserves recognition.
I'm also not a fan of how Sophia Bush handled the situation with her character and how she felt about Lucas. I believe she has the let reality get in the way of her characters feelings. By saying that ''Brooke never really loved Lucas'' which is a complete lie!! If you watch seasons 1-4 you would see that she clearly did once.
I realise now that this blog post has gone from ''The trouble with Brooke Davis to ''The trouble with Sophia Bush''. It's an honest mistake I mean they are literally the same person by season 9. I just have one more complaint about Sophia. I'm sure she is a lovely person but her Twitter is just too much. There is nothing worse than a pushy celebrity who shoves their opinions and charities down people's throats and I believe Sophia is a pro at this. Also making out that everyone she knows is her friend. I'm sure she means well but she has a way of making a tragedy or something bad that happens about her and it's annoying. Well if there's anyone out there who agrees with me, thank you. And to all her fans reading this I'm sorry but I just had to put it out there. But like I said I'm sure she's a lovely person!

Music Moments: Episode 7
''Ugly Betty''
It's been a while since I've done a Music Moments blog post but they are back and this time with a show I haven't yet talked about. Ugly Betty for me was one of those shows which had an amazing first season and a mediocre second which I think lost it a lot of viewers during the third season including me. However, I have to admit that I was missing out on something great. In fact if anyone had stuck around during season 3 and 4 of Ugly Betty they would have seen that it improved greatly. Sadly Ugly Betty was cancelled after Season 4 which now kills me. I only recently watched the latter two seasons of Ugly Betty and it makes me sad to think I ever stopped watching it.
In terms of music used in a show I believe Ugly Betty was very good. Particularly their season 3 finale. Which proved to be very, very emotional and if you're not crying or even sad by the end of the clip I think you need to go to your doctor and ask for a new heart.
Name of Episode: The Fall Issue
Episode Number: 3x23
Song Featured: Time After Time (This has to be one of the greatest songs ever written)
Artist: Cyndi Lauper and Sarah McLachan
Music Moment starts at 1:04
Favourite Lyrics: If you're lost you can look and you will find me, time after time. If you fall I will catch you I will be waiting, time after time.
Favourite Quote: Daniel typing ''I NEED YOU. - Daniel''
I just love the Daniel and Betty friendship and I love the way things ended between them. That last hug at the ending was just so powerful in the way that no words needed to be spoken for the scene to be emotional. And Daniel's vulnerable side was just so emotional to see.
Also Mark and Amanda together in the scene makes me sad because Mark missed out on the editor job and Amanda was being a good friend by comforting him. I always loved their friendship!

New Baby, New Name: Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan
On the 31st of May 2013 Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum welcomed a little girl named Everly Tatum into the world. I love this couple. They met on the set of Step Up and have been together since 2006. So back to Everly Tatum.
Name: 7/10
Originality: 8/10
I've never heard of this name before. Except Bethany Joy Lenz's former band name. The name's pleasant enough. and Everly will most likely not be teased in the playground. Which is good!
I wish for the best for these two or should I say three now and wish them a lifetime of happiness!

New Segment, Old Celebrity, New Baby, New Name
I don't know what it is I find so exciting about celebrities getting pregnant and having babies but I just do. Whenever I find out my favourite celebrities are having babies I get all excited like I know them or something. Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this because if I am then I think I should call up a therapist and book an appointment. Anyway, I have decided to feature a new segment to my blog which steers away from the theme of TV shows and movies and focuses on Celebrity baby names. They're eccentric and questionable but it what's we wait for when our favourite stars get pregnant. Well, it's what I wait for when I find out my favourite stars are pregnant. I mean what would the world be without Apple, Blue Ivy and Jermajesty? Am I right?
Seeing as there has been an absolute ''baby boom'' recently there will be many posts towards this so stay tuned...
